Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 10, 2026

SierraNova Labs ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our macOS software products ("Software") handle — or more accurately, don't handle — your personal information.

1. Our Core Principle

Our Software stores all user-entered data locally on your machine. We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your personal data or lab results. The only internet connection the Software makes is for license registration. Your information stays on your computer.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Our Software does not collect, transmit, or share:

  • User-entered data of any kind (lab results, personal data, or otherwise)
  • Usage data or analytics
  • Device identifiers or hardware information
  • Crash reports or diagnostic data
  • Location data

3. Local Data Storage

All data you enter into the Software is stored locally on your computer in a local database file. This data never leaves your machine through our Software. You are responsible for backing up your own data.

4. Network Connections

The Software connects to the internet solely for the purpose of license registration. No user-entered data, lab results, or personal information is transmitted during this process. All other functionality operates fully offline without any internet connection.

5. Information We Collect at Purchase

Our order process is conducted by our online payment processor, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you purchase our Software, the payment processor collects your name, email address, country, and payment details to complete the transaction.

The payment processor and SierraNova Labs act as independent data controllers for the personal data involved in the purchase. The payment processor processes your billing and payment data to complete transactions, apply applicable taxes, meet compliance requirements, and fulfill its legal obligations. Please refer to the payment processor's privacy policy for details on how they handle your information.

We receive the following information from the payment processor to fulfill your order and provide support:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your purchasing history (products purchased, dates, amounts)
  • Your country (for tax and compliance purposes)

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We use this information for the following purposes under legitimate interest:

  • Order fulfillment and license delivery
  • Customer support
  • Fraud prevention

We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you have given us separate, explicit consent to do so.

6. Email Communications

If you contact us via email for support, we will have access to the information you provide in your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and provide support. We do not sell or share your contact information with third parties.

7. Website

Our website does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party scripts that collect visitor data.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Software does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services, except for the license registration process described in Section 4. The only third-party service involved in our business is our payment processor, which handles payment processing as described in Section 5.

9. Your Rights (GDPR & Applicable Law)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: You may request that we correct any inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: You may request that we delete your personal data.
  • Restriction: You may request that we restrict how we process your data.
  • Portability: You may request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Objection: You may object to our processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@sierranovalabs.com. We will respond within 30 days. For data held by our payment processor, please contact them directly via their privacy policy.

10. Data Retention

We retain your purchase and support data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete it within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Software is not directed at children under 13. Since we do not collect any personal data through the Software, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
